A complete graphic design system for the Disney Animation Café at Liverpool Mexico, an immersive, sensory dining experience celebrating the art of animation across every touchpoint.
Turn a café into an animated world.
Disney and Liverpool needed a graphic identity that could turn a restaurant space into a full immersive journey into animation history. Every surface, every menu, every screen had to feel like a step deeper into the world of Disney classics.
The challenge was creating a system that honored the full breadth of Disney's animation heritage without privileging one era or character above another, a visual language flexible enough to hold Snow White, Cinderella, and Pinocchio in the same frame without contradiction.
Identity, illustration, environment, interaction.
We designed the complete café identity: logo system, color palette, environmental graphics, and a narrative visual system across the space. Character badges for Cinderella, Snow White, and Pinocchio show the animation process in layered collage style. Custom menus, illustrated placemats, ordering screens, and an app with character drawing and virtual reality effects complete the experience.
The collage approach was key, layering sketches, color fills, and finished character art within the same composition mirrors the animation process itself, giving guests a window into how these beloved characters came to life.
From the logo to the last fork.
Every element was designed with the same care as the characters themselves. The connecting elements, illustrated food compositions from film scenes, appear throughout the space in versatile configurations. The result is a dining environment where guests don't just eat. They enter the world of animation.
The interactive layer, the ordering app with AR character drawing effects, extends the experience into guests' own hands, making the café something participants rather than just visitors. Every touchpoint reinforces the same essential idea: this is a place where animation lives.
